Priorities

Being supportive, responsive, inclusive with the entire State of Idaho

I am a lifelong North Idaho resident, farmer, educator and small business owner. I believe in a conservative fiscal policy, planned growth and traditional Idaho values. I am a good listener and I care deeply about our community. My priorities are:

Reduce property taxes by increasing homeowners exemption.

Improve roads, bridges, broadband and related infrastructure

Support Quality education.

Planned growth to protect traditional Idaho values

Steve Johnson has deep roots in, love for and understanding of North Idaho

Steve has been a part of North Idaho since 1957. Raised on the family farm in Sagle — where he still lives — Steve learned from an early age what it means to be part of the Bonner community. In 1968, he graduated from Sandpoint High School, and shortly enrolled at the University of Idaho earning a bachelors’ degree in education, and a masters’ degree in administration.

Steve spent over 40 years in education in Bonner County as an elementary and high school teacher and principal. Steve with his wife, Marguerite, have four grown children and nine amazing grandchildren.
